Blink 182 - The Middle Passage

Enema of the State Not much changed for Blink between Dude Ranch and Enema of the State except a label. In this case they moved from independent to major (MCA) and put out more of the same. Overall the album just reinforced the notion that the guys refused to grow up. So it was fitting that their immortal single was What's My Age Again:

But despite other tracks of the same theme like Dumpweed, Alien's Exist, and Dysentary Gary, one song did clearly seem out of place. Adam's Song was noted as Blink's first "serious" song, dealing with depression and suicide. It is said to have been blasting on a loop from the garage of Columbine survivor Greg Barnes as he hung himself, which I can say from being a high school freshman at the time, made the song more infamous and rumor-creating.
